A highly respected Physician and medical practitioner, Dr. Chanita Villegas-Chua finished her medical degree at the Cebu Institute of Medicine. She had her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center. Eyeing a perfection for her craft she went for her sub-specialization in Materal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecological Ultrasonography at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital. She then proceeded to have further studies and took another sub-specialization in Fetal Echocardiography and Fetal Theraphy at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, USA. She is the Fellow of the Philippine Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Philippine Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Philippine Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Upon her return to the Philippines, still determined to enhance her craft, she took up her Masters of Scence in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) at the University of the Philippines. Her continued education in the medical field was rooted from her personal experience during her childhood days when she suffered from multiple ailments which were very hard to treat. However, with all her studies and exposure, Dr. Chua was still in search of a better and more efficient way of making people better. Being exposed to the dangers and complications which modern medicine inflicts to its patient (curing one ailment, only to cultivate another), she decided to look at the growing demand and safer alternatives of Naturopathy and Alternative Medicine.
Dr. Chanita A. Villegas who hails from Cebu City and is the eldest from a brood of 6 children, studied and finished her Medical studies in Cebu Institute of Medicine with Medical Technology as her pre medical course. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology specialization at Chinese General Hospital. She is currently a Fellow in Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecological Society (FPOGS), a Fellow in Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FPSUOG),a Fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine (FMFM), a Master’s Degree Holder for Master’s of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) and A USA Trained Medical Doctor. She was also a Training Officer of 3 well known hospitals in Metro Manila, that includes Chinese General Hosp. and St. Martin de Porres Hosp. In total, she has served 36 Years of practicing Medicine and counting.
As a child, she had been suffering severe Arthritis. It was a serious illness as there were times she could not walk anymore. Such disease also led to her other maladies like Ulcers, Migraine, Insomnia, UTI and Kidney failure. Her desire to find cure to her disorders directed her to researching alternative medicines. Thus, PowerHerbs Solutions Inc. came about. She founded and became the CEO / President of the company where she had been successfully formulating products for 7 years. There had been various testimonies of improvement of health in using the PowerHerbs products, while she on the other hand, had never since complained of her ailments.
She had continually crusaded the use of alternative products instead of synthetic drugs via the PowerHerbs products held lectures about health and the importance and uses of herbs in our body, trained and helped people in learning Iridology, and spearheaded in health fairs. She still practiced her service as a medical doctor – thrust is not only to aid in the improvement of patients’ health but also commanded in educating the patients in all walks of life located in every area around the Philippines the significance of healthy lifestyle and proper use of healthy alternatives.
At present, she remains serving every Filipino nationwide – seeing her patients even in remote areas when needed because it transcends in her the company’s mission to help the sick foremost and to aid each Filipino augment their standard of living.
